Beloved singer Shirley Ritenour lavished her lovely soprano on songs of love and devotion. Our Diva opened with David Friedman's "Listen to my Heart" famously sung by the late Nancy LaMott, moving us with her sensitive account and receiving well-deserved mid-song applause.

Shirley Ritenour's program on Friday, December 6, 2013 at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall was a great success. She ended the set with a powerful, operatic version of "Over the Rainbow."  The audience seemed very please with the performance and several people were, literally, yelling, "Encore!

Favorite New York City and Fire Island soprano Shirley Ritenour gave a recital, at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Hall on December 6, in which she successfully juxtaposed some of the most challenging operatic arias with American standards, much in the manner that Eileen Farrell.
